It’s not a cliche. Safety comes first at Ironsite. The company is extremely committed to providing and maintaining a safe work environment for it’s employees. A safety consulting firm is retained by the company to provide training, audit records, and inspect jobsites. Employees of Ironsite are provided with PPE, equipment, training, and the support of their superiors in order to perform their jobs in a safe manner.
Safety Equipment
Eighty percent of the company’s employees have received an OSHA 10 Hour card. All of the company’s supervisors have been through OSHA 30 Hour training.
Annually, the company provides training on trench safety, personal protective equipment, and jobsite hazards. Safety meetings are held bi-monthly for the entire company. Every jobsite inspection report is reviewed with all of the company foremen.
Ironsite understands that it is part of an industry which is plagued by drug use and that it must actively work to ensure that employees are safe from these dangers. The company abides by a strict drug-free workplace program. In addition to pre-employment and post-accident drug tests, this program includes frequent random drug tests of all employees.
