Earthwork

Earthwork CAD modeling

Ironsite Company earthwork projects begin well before the first machine is moved on to the job. In-house site topography data collection and CAD modeling of the project is utilized when estimating and setting up the project. This allows us to properly plan site work operations and to help our clients with value engineering. Import, export, or balanced site, our mission is to determine the most cost effective method to place the dirt where it goes.

Once the job is ready to start, the crew ties in to survey controls and gets to work. The use of GPS machine control and rovers limits the amount of staking that is required for our earthwork operations. When the time comes for grading streets, we utilize a sonic tracer to efficiently match the curb elevations.

The Ironsite fleet of heavy equipment includes over 50 individual pieces of equipment and is valued at several million. Over half of the fleet is utilized for mass excavation and fine grade operations. Dozers range in size from Cat D3 to Komatsu D65. The company has off-road trucks in a variety of sizes, compaction equipment, and a variety of related heavy machines available.
